What went through your head while watching this clip?

What do we learn from this short clip?

Take the phone out of it – Others must know we care.

  • When we work with others, they are the priority.  Help them to feel that.

  • Be present.  Listen to them.

  • When they know and can feel we care, we build trust.

*What do you currently do to build trust with others?

*What breaks trust with others?

Top three things to build trust:

  1. Consistency: Consistency is key to building trust. This involves consistently following through on your commitments, being reliable, and maintaining a steady and predictable behavior. When people can rely on you to act consistently, it builds a sense of trust and reliability.

  1. Transparency: Transparency involves being open and honest in your communication and actions. It means sharing information openly, admitting mistakes when they occur, and being upfront about your intentions and motives. When you're transparent, it demonstrates integrity and sincerity, which are crucial for building trust.

  1. Empathy and Understanding: Showing empathy and understanding towards others' feelings, perspectives, and experiences fosters trust. It involves actively listening to others, showing compassion, and considering their needs and emotions. When people feel understood and supported, they are more likely to trust you and feel comfortable opening up to you.

What will you do this week to build trust?

  • Set an action plan for this week to build trust.

  • Follow up next week. What went well and what didn’t?

  • What can we learn from this past week?
