Procedure Steps
-
What does urgency mean to you?
-
Go get it. Do not wait for it to come to you. Give me an example.
-
Schedule your own visits, do not wait to have them scheduled for you.
-
Reach out to clients with no openings and see if there are other ways we can help them. We do more for clients than just fill openings. Wage analysis, troubleshooting pain points, etc.
-
We all say we want to learn more about spreadsheets, but what have we done about it...? Kaelob and others have a wealth of knowledge, and they are happy to teach. This applies to everything though, not just spreadsheets.
-
BE PROACTIVE – Take charge and make things happen. This will help reduce stress and anxiety. Being proactive can be the difference between success and failure.
-
Accountability, “I didn’t get trained on that”.
-
What do you feel like your responsibilities are as an account manager?
-
Responsibility for asking for more training.
-
“I don’t feel like I have enough training to do my job, will you teach me”?
-
Take the initiative with your own training. If you want to grow with YES, the opportunities are there for you, RIGHT NOW.
-
You do not have to ONLY learn what your current job title requires.
-
If you want to be in sales, payroll, HR, or management, there are opportunities available for you. But you must go get them; they will not come to you.
-
Train for the position you want, so that when the opportunity comes, you’re ready to take it.
-
Time Management
-
What are your priorities?
-
Are you working on something that needs to be done right now or can it be finished tomorrow?
-
If it can be finished later, do it later and focus on something that needs to be done sooner.
-
Prioritizing can reduce your stress levels and help complete tasks in the right order.
-
Block out time to mentally recover. If you know a task you must complete is going to exhaust you, put a 5-minute block on your schedule where you just do nothing and reset your brain.
-
Use your goals for the quarter, month, and week, to influence how you plan your day.
-
Baby steps will get you to the big picture.
-
Keep a To-Do List! Write down tasks as they come up and cross them off as you complete them. This helps you stay organized and ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
-
What does it mean to focus on your big rocks? What are some examples?
-
Organization
-
Organization is one of the easiest ways to help yourself.
-
Take time periodically to review your organization systems and processes. Identify areas for improvement and make adjustments as needed.
-
Plan out your day and set daily goals to complete. Set the intention and follow through to drive your weekly and monthly goals.
-
Take Pride in Your Work
-
Recognize the significance of your role and how your work contributes to the overall success of your team, organization, or project. Knowing that your efforts matter can motivate you to take pride in what you do.
-
Aim for excellence in everything you do. Strive to consistently produce work of the highest quality, regardless of the task's size or complexity.
-
Take responsibility for your work and its outcomes. Avoid making excuses or blaming others for mistakes. Instead, learn from failures and use them as opportunities to grow and improve.
-
Acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments, both big and small. Recognizing your successes can boost your confidence and reinforce your sense of pride in your work.
-
Take opportunities to mentor others and share your expertise. Helping others succeed can be incredibly fulfilling and can enhance your sense of pride in your own work.
